Hello. I’m Evelyn.
I’m a fully accredited BABCP and IPT UK psychotherapist specializing in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT).
I have worked in the mental health sector for over 10 years and have been practising for 6 years as a CBT Therapist in the NHS. I still practice as a Senior CBT Therapist in an NHS service alongside my private clinic.
This means I have worked with clients with a range of problems associated with depression and anxiety including:
- Managing low mood or depression
- Improving self-esteem and confidence
- Coming to terms with traumatic experiences and PTSD symptoms (e.g. nightmares and flashbacks of events)
- Difficulties with worry, panic attacks, phobias and OCD
- Relationship issues

My specialisms are working with trauma, low self esteem, OCD and depression linked with relationship issues.
My approach is compassionate and collaborative, aimed at empowering clients to develop practical tools for lasting change and emotional resilience.
I can ensure you will be working in a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore thoughts and feelings to foster healing and personal growth.
I hear many people say they have a “diagnosis” of depression and anxiety as if this is permanent but this does not need to be the case. Depression and anxiety are treatable problems that you don’t need to suffer with for the rest of your life. I am a firm believer that people are capable of change if they are willing to work on their problems and face the issues linked with their mental health.
A little bit about me
In terms of my background, I grew up in Canada but raised in a Chinese culture with my parents being from Hong Kong. I moved to the UK at a young age and am now based in South East London.
I’ve been lucky to grow up in a mix of cultural backgrounds whether that be from my upbringing, living and working with people in London, and the experience of working in different mental health settings over the years.
This has added to my sensitivity to understanding how people perceive different experiences which I use in my practice to deliver an individualised treatment. I will always ask what a situation or problem feels like for you so that we can come up with an indivdualised solution that works for you.
